Its freezing and I Love it.
Just for the record for those I have not contacted first class was amazing everyone should save their money
and do it once in a life time. PJ's , private screens, extra large seats, great food and wine when ever you
want it the comfort is fantastic we were quiet fresh when we arrived it was such a treat.
March 12th.
We have been in London over two weeks now and it has been hard work setting up and getting organized
We are renting in Kew at Kew Bridge nice, close to the train station and the bus is across the road.
We have two bedrooms and a small room which they call a box room with a single bed in it.
The place is furnished and has basic glasses, cutlery, plates ect.
Two pots and a fry pan but great beds and linen for the beds, one towell a vacuum built for a child to use,
iron and ironing board, nice fridge & freezer, dishwasher, washine machine with an inbuilt dryer. We also
have a small TV and nice couches that Robert is able to sit in with comfort. I think we have done rather well
but yes not cheap - but nothing in London is cheap.
We are within a two minute walk of the River Thames it is wounderful walking along the tow path beside the river,
there are pubs every couple of 100 meters - Robert and I intend to walk it again and call in at each and have a pint.
Our closest High Street is Chiswick this is were we shop - 5 bus stops from our house, yesterday I bought the
best lamb I have eaten in a long time it was so good.
We get around very easy with our oyster card off and on buses and the underground just like the locals.
Yesterday was our first day into the city we went to St Pauls (we missed this last time) and walked along
Fleet Street it was so interesting so many alleyways we found St Bride's church that dates back to the
Roman times it was bombed during the second world war and they found a roman section so this is now on our
list for a tour - I want to see the crypt and the charnel house which houses the skeltons.
Of course we had lunch found an amazing place that use to house the Bank of England (victorian times)
it is now a pub we had their famous pies, I had beef and stilton cheese (boy was it rich) fantastic.
Robert of course had to have venison pie he finished with spotted dick. I had to check out the toilets
as the girls at the centre ivanhoe know I have a thing about toilets.
The could do with a re furb maybe I will offer them my services.
We have now got ourselves a calander and are going to sit and try and fit all the things we want to see into it,
I think we will run out of time but we will try. Having the flu for two weeks didn't help.
Till next time

Liz & Craig Great to hear of your travels. First Class is definitely the way to go! Will google Kew to see what area you are staying in and the local sites. How long will you be there for? Hope you get your back sorted and the osteo can give you some relief. Craig wants to know did you mean spotted DUCK or is it really spotted DICK? Or did the duck have a spotted d*** or was it the venison with the spotted dick? Hmm Ok, back to your travels, How long are you in London for and where to next. Hope you get to Prague on your Europe trip as we were very impressed with this city. Budapest is also worth a visit. We loved Scotland and hope to get back there one day. We have visitors staying with us over easter who live in Glasgow and are coming all the way to see our Tassie sights. Ok you two, have a great time and now we know how to use this sight we will follow your travels. Jules and Nev might be coming to stay next week so we will all be anxious for more goss from UK and the aging "Columbuses" who eat spotted dick! X Liz & Craig
