April 7th
Time is flying by yesterday was our wedding anniversary 43 years we decided to go to St Martin-in-the-Fields
and attend a Choral Eucharist and Robert could also take Holy Communion ( I couldn't as Robert pointed out
I am chapel). We did enjoy it, beautiful church built in 1726, the choir was fantastic. Last week we went to the
National Portrait Gallery my favourite was the Tudor portraits, it is a place we would like to return too if we get the time.
We have also been to the Victoria & Albert Museum now this one was fantastic the building was built
as a museum in the 1800's the building is beautifully kept must cost a fortune - did notice they had a leak in the roof in
one of the rooms. On this day we went to Harrods for lunch - Spanish Tapas (stretched Robert a little bit)
small but expensive. I also bought a wood pigeon to cook, my recipe has brandy, sherry, chicken stock and olives
so should be interesting - will let you know how it turns out. We haven't left London yet just so much to see and we
enjoy the days we stay home usually end up going for a walk in the area.
Last weekend we caught the train to Richmond (one stop from us) and walked up Richmond Hill to the Richmond
Deer Park it was a beautiful day 23. Robert said he wanted to see a deer- I thought wont happen - the park is huge
and people are riding horses, bikes, walking and driving cars through. But we saw a herd of deer they are so tame
nothing worries them, fear must have been breed out of them. As we came down the hill we stopped at a pub
got a beer, water for me and sat on the seats that are all the way along the walk and had our picnic, it was great. The scenery is amazing as you look right down the river, Jerry Hall has a house on Richmond Hill very expensive
place to live. The pubs are great you can take your drinks outside and drink and then place your glass in
the rack provided (no wonder everyone drinks the pubs are so user friendly)
The photo I attached is from the Queens Garden at Kew Palace I spend a lovely hour reading all the signs for the different herbs.

Gwyn Hi DD & Robert Fantastic to read all about your wonderful adventures Love the sign Devona yet another affirmation that certainly justifies the "medicial purposes" vino required to to dull the pain of your "fall or other accident" How are the ribs? Congraulations to your both on your Anniversary Did you ever get to Pierre Kauffman's? Sounds like you are having a sensational time enjoying so many new experiences.
