Hey so I've started school and I have almost nothing to do because I can't understand what they're saying quite yet. So I will tell you about my last week in Bjerringbro. The way to Bjerringbro was crazy...it was loud and lots of people were dancing and goofing around. It was an extremely long train ride. When we got to the station we took a bus to the town and arrived at the boarding school we were staying at. There were so many kids and bags everywhere...it was a mess. The first day we didnt do anything really. Monday and Tuesday we had language school all day. Then on Wednesday we had language school in the monring and then went to Viborg to see the georgous church there and tour around the town. Then we went and had coffee and tea at this park overlooking a lake in a little valley. Then Thursday we had language school again and then Friday we went to Aarhus (sorry i can't spell it right on my computer) and went to the museum Aros and saw a sculpture called 'the boy' and it was amazing. It looked so real and it was so big. Then we went into town and I had lunch with some friends in an Italian restaurant... delicous!! After that we went to the canal and they had giant inflatable clear balls that you could go in on the canal and roll around in. So my friend payed for it for my birthday present from him. It was ssssoooo much fun! Then I had Italian ice cream, 6 different kinds too!! It was amazing. Saturday we had an easy danish lesson morning where we played games and then we had a free afternoon. So the week was really busy but really fun. Almost every night we had a dance party and I met so many amazing people. The last few days were kind of sad though because two people ended up getting sent home from the camp to copenhagen and then they decided they were going to send them all the way home because they were caught drinking at the camp. I can understand them being sent home but they were two of my good freinds and so it's also very upsetting. Other than that the week went very well. When I got home my 'parents' made me a birthday super and cake to go with it. They also gave me a present. I got hand drawn pictures of some H.C. Anderson stories and of a little amusement park near them. They were so cute. I also got a English-Dansk dictionary with a cd so I can hear the words too and a fresh water pearl necklace.
Yesterday I started my first day of school. I had math first and every they were doing I had already done so that made me feel very good but I wasn't able to participate because I couldn't understand anything anyone was saying. Next I had English and I saw some presentations on terrorist attacks. Then I had lunch with Maria the exchange student from Brasil. After lunch I had gym and then French but we didn't do anything in french because we had class photos. After school I went schopping with Maria for rain clothes for her and a backpack and some school things for me. Oh and I forgot to mention I got sick so Maria had left and I was in the mall and I was feeling extremely dizy and having a hard time walking and tired. So I got picked up at the train station in Bagsvaerd so I didn't have to walk home in the rain and had some soup and went to bed.
Today I got up super early so I could get to Rotary with Claes but since I am sick and have lost most of my ablility to talk because of it I didn't have to say anything. Also, since it was my birthday this past week the club gave me a birthday present which I haven't opened yet so I can't tell you what it is. Then after the Rotary meeting I went with the ex-counsellor to get my bike. And now im at school in a music class where I have no idea what's going on so I thought I would update my blog. Well I hope you enjoy reading and I will write again in a little while.
Love Sarena
