I managed to find a nice hotel centally located in the centre of town between the main train station and the castle. This was part of the Chisun Hotel Group which is in every city so I knew the standards would be good. As it was my birthday today I wanted to stay somewhere nice and relaxing. Surprisingly the room was only $40. The room was very compact, similar to a Tokyo Hotel JAL had provided me with when we had an unscheduled layover due to bad weather. The bed was fitted on three sides into the wall with a compact airplane size bathroom beside. This would be very tight for two people or if you had luggage as I only had a backpack. I checked what was on tv and there was a wide selection of choices for porn TV The storm that I had left this morning in Hiroshima appeared to be making a big impact. Apparently it was a major typhoon that had made landfall in Nagoya and was moving over Tokyo. It was expected to cross the entire country and the news channel had continuous coverage of this. I was lucky I was in the south end and completely missed the storm or my birthday would have been ruined.
