First on the agenda is a visit to the Giron Museum. Interesting portrayal of the history of the area post Revolution up to the Bay of Pigs invasion. Interesting to see the potrayal of how things improved for the people of the area post the revolution. Pre revolution work consisted of poor working and living conditions and hard manual labour. Post revolution there was a literacy campaign with a drive to ensure everyone could read and write. In my mind it makes sense then why the local cubans were pro revolution and did what they did to taste victory with thr Bay of Pigs invasion. Beautiful sad poem potraying the essence of socialism.
Filling the car with petrol is next on the agenda and then we're off to Trinidad - our last stop (for 3 nights) before heading back to Havana.
Just under 3 hours later we arrive at our casa to meet Carlos - the casa owner. What a character!
