The city took me by surprise. A pleasant surprise at that! With old cars everywhere! Even though I expected old cars I didn't expect that many! We go on a tour bus around the city and get an overview of the city. A nice walk around the old town - Havana Vieja -ends with lunch at a great place with live music. I see the first guy just sitting smoking a cigar and realise that this is what they do. We are in Cuba after all! I have my first Cuban beer - a Buccaneer while the other girls enjoy pina coladas.
The afternoon consists of walking around mainly the old part of town with Inge as the guide. We see what the guidebook says should be seen and after a nice dinner at our casa, we go dancing at the Casa de la Musica. I taste Cuba Libra (aka rum and coke with lemon) and we get to bed at 4am.
A successful day of photography with over 500 pictures and 2 flat camera batteries.
