Captains Log: Star Date 12.02.05 Airlie Beach, or Airlie no beach...there isnt actually a beach here but there is a lagoon type swimming pool much like the one in Cairns here, so some restbite from the mid day heat! Its still really hot over here, despite the weather saying thunder storms are coming the next day-this never seems to really materialise and has been pretty darn hot most of our stay. Havent actually been doing much sunbathing, so the tan is not that impressive to those who are curious! I will work on it soon though, when I get a spare minute I'm rushed off my feet tho! he he : ) We arrived in Airlie yesterday afternoon and went to a hostel just outside of the town (by which I mean main street) it seemed ok until bed time, I climbed into bed only to see I wasn't alone...far from it! There were bugs crawling around in my bed! Eugh!!! I don't know if they actually were 'bed bugs' because I dont know what they look like or if you can even see them, needless to say I had a couple of hours interupted kip, because I was really aware of the bugs and then we checked out first thing this morning and have moved to another hostel just out of town the other direction which has no bugs and seems a lot nicer. I washed everything as soon as I arrived just incase any of the little critters had come with me! Eugh its making me shudder while I type!!! Ill add some photo's soon, its such a mission on these slow computers it takes hours!! I am glad you are all appreciating them!!! Over and out xxx
