Captains Log. Star Date 06.02.05 Mission Beach, well technically not becasue I am 4km away from mission beach, and actually staying at Wongaling beach, but off to Mission Beach later this afternoon. Just wanted to post the piccies I took early this morning of the sunrise. Wongaling beach is absolutley beautiful, 14km of beach and you can see dunk isalnd from it (a holiday resort about 4.5km away) I woke up at 5.00am and woke Tom up (mu ha haaaa!) and we strolled down to the beach in the pitch black where it was almost eerily quiet, we sat for an hour and a half watching the sunrise, it was awesome. At one point when the sky was really red there came a cluster of birds seemingly out of nowhere and it just looked amazing seeing them flying across this red sky, like something you'd see on a postcard, only better becasue of the sound of the ocean lazily sloshing back and forth to top it off. On the walk back in the daylight the crickets and birds etc etc had all woken and were really noisy...it was a really cool morning. To Emma, Cheryl and Maureen at work...there's no debating this one...it really was a pink sky!! Over and out xxx
