Mahlzeit!!
Another perfect day here in Germany. The days are beautiful and clear and our ports of call are spectacular. We are now in true wine country along the Mein River. Stopped in Wurzburg today, another pretty town with ancient stone bridges, cobblestone streets and some good shopping too!! The program today gave us enough time for our morning walking tour + a reasonable amount of time to saunter around, without constant time monitoring - very relaxing!! There is a palace here, the Wurzburg Residenz, which reflects some of the design ideas from the palace in Versailles. Of course it is nowhere near as grand or over the top, but much more reasonable and beautiful in its own right - certainly worth a look! Curiously, we didn't visit a church today. Perhaps the sky will fall in!!!! The photo is of us outside the palace in front of the fountain (no ... really!!) All continues to be wunderbare!!! Xxx
