Deb's Adventures
We had a very leisurely morning today. We all slept in which I think we all kind of needed. Being on vacation is hard work. We had breakfast at the house and mimosa's by the pool and watched the monkey parade. At one point Ryan disappeared for a few minutes. Non of us could figure out where he went. Turns out he wondered into the jungle to pick tropical flowers for Clarice for Valentines day. It was super cute and Eric was a little jealous that Ryan beat him to it. The monkeys were great this morning. They were stealing bananas out of a tree right next to the pool.
One of the funniest parts of the day was when we were sitting by the pool this morning this raggedy old car drove by with a giant speaker tied to the roof. It was advertising for a political candidate in the upcoming election.
We went back to one of our favorite spots for lunch, Agua Azul. We ate there one of our first nights and loved it. Ryan in particular wanted to go back for their Tuna Tostada. It was as good as we remembered and the view was spectacular. The last time we were there it was after dark so we did not get to see how breathtaking the view was.
After lunch we decided to go try this thing called "The Avatar". It is a combination roller coaster and zip line that runs 350 meters through the jungle. I have attached a video of Ryan doing it. It was super fun. Eric and I also did a much slower canape bike which was 600 meters out and back. The scenery was beautiful.
We stopped back into El Avion for an icy cold beer and to take some photos inside the plane. The beer was great. Avataring is hot and thirsty work.
We came back to the house for dip in the pool and more monkey business and then went out to Kapi Kapi for valentines dinner. Before dinner we enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and a beautiful sunset. Lot's of wine and good food was had today.
