Deb's Adventures
We decided to hang at the beach today. We drove a few miles down the road to the madness that is Manuel Antonio National Park and beach. It is impossible to get anywhere near the park because there are tourists and scammers everywhere. They want you to pay to park, pay to get into the park and pay for guided tours and you can't tell whats official and what is bogus. Not to mention there are hundreds of people standing in line to get in. Thankfully Martin told us what to do and where to park for free and how to get to the public beach so we bypassed everything and found a spot to camp out for the day.
The weather is perfect here. It's been around 90 degrees and sunny every day. It's fantastic beach weather. The water is warm and the surf is just right for playing in. We had a hard time getting out of the water which resulted in a little bit of sunburn for all of us.
Finally around 4pm we dragged ourselves out of the sun and returned home. Ryan and Clarice decided to go find the fish market in Quepos and buy something for dinner. They returned with a whole red snapper. Clarice walked in first and said Ryan almost killed them 4 times and Ryan walked in next carrying a beer and smiling and saying that was great fun. Aaaahhhhh, Caribbean driving. Always an adventure.
We cooked our snapper on the grill and invited Martin for dinner which turned out to be an excellent idea because he brought more yummy moonshine with him. The fish was great and the conversation even better. Before we new it we were out moonshine and wine and we stumbled off to bed. Another great day in Costa Rica.
