We arrived in Washington DC at 7.30am. It had been a long night on the Amtrak train and we hadn't slept as much as we'd hoped, mainly due to the ridiculously cold air con. From the 1st-10th of December we made our way up the southern east coast of America, stopping at Miami, Orlando and Savannah. The first night of our stay in San Francisco was also the switching on of the snowflake lights, which were on the streetlights of the main shopping street.
