This morning was another early one and we 4 wheel drove ( a very bumpy but fun ride!) to Twin Falls. We hopped on a boat and travelled down the river through a gorge. We then hiked over bolders and came to a little beach with the waterfall

Again we had an early start today up before dawn to make our way to Kakadu National Park. First we went to see some aboriginal rock art at Ubirr. This site has been opened up to the public, however, some sites are sacred to the aboriginals and therefore are kept secret. The rock art is paintings on the rock face that depict aboriginal stories and include people, spirits and animals. These stories are used to teach morals and values to the aboriginal children....

Today was a very early start at 6:30am. We are on an adventure tour from Darwin down to Adelaide. The tour is split into 3 smaller tours so we will meet lots of different people. Our first part of the trip is around the Darwin area and the surrounding National Park. First of all we stopped and looked at some huge termite mounds, one of which was around 80 years old! We left Bangkok airport on Saturday morning and flew for 2 hours to Singapore airport where we had a 5 hour wait until our flight to Darwin. We arrived into Darwin at 3am on Sunday morning and stayed one night (or a few hours!) at a hotel nearby the hotel. We checked out at 11am and made our way by taxi to Mitchell Street, the backpacker's hub of the city, and our hostel for the next 2 nights.
