18th - 25th April We flew to Phuket to enjoy a week of sun, sea, sand and relaxation before returning home. We managed to drag ourselves away from our beach resort yesterday to spend a day cruising around the islands in Phang Nga Bay, including James Bond Island! What a great way to end our trip.

On Monday 14th we made the four hour drive to the Thai border on the road which is "under construction"! The road improved dramatically after crossing the border! On Friday 11th we drove to Siem Reap, arriving in time to watch the sunset over Angkor Wat. We ended the day watching a performance of traditional Khmer dancing. The whole day on Saturday 12th was spent at Angkor Wat, Ta Prohn (Jungle Temple), Angkor Tom and Bayon. These temple ruins are every bit as spectacular as the guide books say. Most of the day on Wednesday 9th was spent driving to the Vietnam/Cambodia border and then on to Phnom Penh. April is the hottest month in Cambodia and we are certainly feeling it.
