Hi all

We hope you are all having a good new year.
So we took a little detour to Philadelphia to see Meredith (the girl we met in Africa). She bowls up in her black SUV and picks us up driving all the way to Philadelphia. We love Meredith! So we had 3 nights with her where we watched the Dallas Cowboys kick the crap out of the Eagles, ate loads of Chicken wings, visited the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, had a Phili Cheese Steak, Visited the stairs Rocky climbed and made a video (check it out), had copious amounts of alcohol and also met up with a old friends – Jane and Casper.
The Cultural aspects were also really interesting, such as Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the USA had its first Senate. Weird to be in the same buildings George Washington and Thomas Jefferson once stood. Also learning about the liberty bell was interesting
Meredith’s house was gorgeous as we expected with 2 of the cutest dogs, and we really didn’t want to leave. Her boyfriend Carl was also really nice and between the 2 of them they treated the 3 of us like royalty.
Jane and Casper also live near Meredith so we got to visit for dinner which was gorgeous also – Jane home cooked the most sensational meal for us. Was great to see that they are doing well and we hope they will come to Costa Rica with us later in teh year.
All 3 of us really liked Philadelphia, and I think it was mainly due to the company.
Anyhow after an emotional goodbye to our new family member Meredith and Casper and Jane we departed for Washington DC.
