After the joys of Westport we visited Graymouth and were told that the next stop we would have a fancy dress party, and the theme would be the letter P! So whatever we dressed up as, had to start with the letter P. I hate fancy dress, but I gave it my all, and went as a Poof! Yes I dawned make up and a skirt and girly top!!!!! Tim you would’ve been so proud of me!. My first cross dressing moment and to be honest I have to admit I was the ugliest woman you have ever seen. Skippy went as a Princess, and Cat a Pole dancer. It was a Funny night and I got chatting to some of the other guys on the bus too, Mark came as a Poo Stain, Zoe a Pro Skater, Rachel a Punk Rocker, Declan and Jen – Party Poopers, Sara as Party Balls, and Kim as a pool party! Was a really funny night and good to get everyone together? Was a bit disappointed by the fact it took 3 days to even get to know people!

Anyhow I won a prize for my costume, free $120 river boarding in Queenstown! So it was worth the embarrassment.

So from here we headed to Franz Joseph. Now I had seen the most amazing pictures that Katie had from her travels to the Glacier, and was really looking forward to it! This is what I was looking forward to the whole time, so the minute we got there, Zoe, Skippy and I got a scenic flight in a helicopter. Oh my god it was awesome, we flew all the way up, and this glacier is huge. The Ice looks so small from the air, but we could see the tiny specks of people hiking it below. We were doing the 8 hour hike the next day, so excited. The Helicopter flight had an unexpected bonus; we landed on the top and had a chance to walk around the basin! As soon as my foot hit the snow it went in upto my shin. A pure snowfield surrounded by Mountain peaks, absolutely stunning and so bright. And on the flight down the pilot spotted some Mountain goats, so did a 360 spin in the helicopter, what a rush! The ultimate rollercoaster! I hit the sack early because I was really pumped for the hike the next day, and wanted to give it my all.
