The third and final day arrived and we all awoke at the right time - didn't we Matt?Well most of us did anyhow, and after another hearty breakfast we kept it local and climbed Orrest Head. Now this is nothing compared to the Gable or Scarfell etc… but it is not to be overlooked. The Panoramic view from here is sensational, you can see all the Mountains, Scarfell, Hellvellyn, the Old Man of Coniston etc..And the view of Windermere village and the Lake is phenome...

Matt and Jen joined us that night for the next day, and I decided in my wisdom to head over to Wastewater - great hiking in that part of the Lakes - with the big ones nearby Scarfell etc…and a lovely scenic drive - something I really like in this part of the Lakes.Although Hard Knott pass was looming, and with the ice, snow and a 5 person strong Suzuki Swift, it was a bit of a gamble going this way. So it was an early off work and onto the M1, M6 to the Lake District . I couldn't wait, I absolutely love it up there, so peaceful and tranquil and in Winter it was going to be even more beautiful.
