My Trip
So Italy are World Champions...
Does anyone but me think that is the cruelest thing that could ever happen! Mainly due to the fact that Sharkey will never let any of us forget it, for the rest of our lives.
I have never been so happy to be the other side of the world, than right now. Where she can't get to me!
Good luck guys!
Anyhow the World Cup has ended. And what a dismal World Cup it was. Even though the games were either at 1am, 3am, or 5am, I got up for a lot of them, and watched in anticipation of some amazing football. Did it come? Well the answer to that is open to debate, you see if you ask an Italian, of course it did! However if you ask any other nationality in the world they will all say NO.
There were very few surprises and not that many exciting games if we are honest!
Now let me have my winging POMME moment...
We have the best league in the world, we have 3 of the top clubs in world footballing history, and we have 2 of the richest clubs in the world. And what happens? We can't play a decent game of football.
I'd rather go to the Aylesbury than watch England play again! (Maybe that's a bit too far!) But you know what I mean.
Now answer me this, what happened to the world's greatest footballers? I mean two of the major flop's this world cup were the world footballers of the year... Lampard! (Dreadful) and Ronaldhino (bad spelling! and he did nothing). Even Gerard failed to turn upmost of the time!
We were simply dreadful. There wasn't one game where I went away thinking we could win this!
I will say though congratulations to Lennon, and Joe Cole, because without them there would have been no talent in the English team whatsoever.
As for Mr Rooney... did he mean it? That's a question we could debate all year!
Ok winge over!
I have to say the final was a tight game with some great penalties and well worth watching even at 4-6am in the morning, with work looming.
But you must agree lads that was one boring World Cup! Lets see how far we get in the European Cup shall we, I mean if Greece can win it! We may stand a chance.
