Ok, I finally have connected to WiFi! Second day in Sorrento, what an amazing place. Lemon, and lemons related items are sold everywhere. The train ride from Rome to Naples is about 2 hours; then another hour on the local train to Sorrento. Tons of tourist here, lots from England. Met a lady from Walnut Creek yesterday taking pics from the cliff side overlooking the bay. She quit her job , sold her house and is on a six week trip thru all of Italy! After being here for only 6 days, I can see why she decided on six weeks. Heavy thunder and lightning storms during the first part of the day today so went to Naples and checked out that crazy, chaotic city. They invented pizza so decided to pay honor to the site that has brought us joy in our guts. Went to the old Spanish Quarter, which is as urban living as you can get. I kind of imagined NYC in the 20's when I walked the streets today. People yelling from the balconies, kids in dirty clothes playing in the streets. The smell of bread and spices being prepared for the next meals. Let me see if I can finally post a pic .
