Aqueduct Park on the ancient Appian Way, where water was brought in to the Romans before Christ. Now, with a cool golf course built around it. 70 and sunny in Rome. Perfect day!

Made it! Five years ago, half of Trevi Fountain was under repairs. 2017, it's all bright and shiny. Long day of air travel but both flights were smooth and silky n time.

Last night of my trip, hanging out with the upper crust in Milan! Story when I get back.

The clouds cleared and the weather on my last full day on the Cinqueterre was absolutely perfect! Took a bus from Manarola to a town high up in the hills called Volastra, a little village of less than 200 people but it's been around since the 12th century. The trail weaves thru vineyards and forest for about 3 miles on a ridge with an almost 180 degree panoramic view of the Mediterranean and the coastal towns.

Went on a fun ferry trip to five towns on the coast including Portovenere, about 20 minutes from Riomaggiore . A bit more resorty than the five Cinqueterre towns but just as beautiful. The pic is the harbor front right after you get off the ferry. Included in the trip is a side tour (on another boat ) of three small islands off the coast. Went up to Monterosso after for The Lemon Festival!! Sounds corny but a lot of fun...and good eats!
