I (George) am doing the blog today for reasons which will become obvious later.

It was an excellent day today. First of all the sea was not as bad as on the way down. We have travelled up the Spain and Portugal coast, a bit blowy and overcast but much better wave conditions.

Today's big news is that Danuta has finally beaten me at deck quoits. There were only three us who braved the conditions on the games deck. Therefore we played a singles round robin tournament and Danuta beat both me and Rob. The best games she has ever played. Rob and I think the reason she beat us was that every time she threw a quoit the boat moved and the quoit hovered in the air and plonked down into a scoring position. Well done Danuta you certainly used the conditions to your advantage. (I've just seen this. Cheek)

In the afternoon it was the chocoholics buffet and naturally I went along only to photograph the spread. (Believe that if you will). What a spread of chocolate delights. You can see for yourself if I remember to post the photographs.

We managed to get more dancing time this evening and that was enjoyable. The most couples I have seen up dancing at any time on this cruise.

The other pleasing news is that our syndicate quiz team of Merle, Barbara, Danuta, Geoff , Ian and myself finally won. What a roar went up when the final scores were announced, from the other teams as well as us.

Tomorrow it is La Coruna for the day and then get the packing started. Should be a good day and night. Looking forward to it.
