After breakfast we took the shuttle bus from Souda port to Chania a ten minute ride. We are on the island of Crete by the way. When we arrived we did our usual thing of wandering about to see as much of the place as we can without getting lost.
As it was Easter Sunday only the bars, restaurants and a few souvenir shops were open. After a while we came across the old city wall as is usual in most places in the Mediterranean. Further on we arrived at the old harbour which nowadays only shows signs of having been a harbour by the presence of a lighthouse on the breakwater. It is very picturesque with many bars and restaurants along the bay. Also in the harbour there is an old Turkish Mosque, Mosque Janissaries, dating to 1645, the oldest Ottoman building on the island.
