A lovely day in Coober Pedy today. Headed to the sign first thing for some pics and then to the big rig and the underground houses and mine. And yes I went in.....soooo proud I managed that! It still amazes me how they have managed to build all these places underground.
The underground mine was impressive, although not much different. This has been a real eye opener for the kids here, with the indigenous population, and also with the lack of grass!
Went noodling this afternoon so the kids could try their luck at finding some opal....no such luck though!

Finished off at the underground hotel, and then went and got a really awesome pizza for dinner and just caught the sunset. Am loving this trip, but most importantly loving the time with Mick and the kids....no distractions of everyday life just us together.
Clock over a week tomorrow, not liking how quick this is going at all!

Highlight of the day.....heading into the underground mine not not passing out. I have a pic to prove it!
