New York Film Academy 18th day
Production Workshop #2 (Josh Adler)
Today we're back on the Universal backlot. Josh should have been there to check out what we were doing but he was called away for a family emergency. He had a great replacement though. This time we were on the western lot. it was Chris and Ike's (crew mates) turn to shoot their production workshops. So I was DP'in' and AC'in'. (Thomas wasn't there because his girlfriend was in town) Chris was shooting a chase. And I DP-ed on his project and Ike shot some out of hand shots because he's a little more stable with the heavy camera. Just like last week they both had 4 hours to shoot their project. Chris made a lot of shots in that time. There was one TA (Teachers Assistant) though that was an ass. He kept bugging us and being nasty. I think he had his period :D
Besides Chris running out of time because he had a lot of shots he wanted to shoot and a lot of other crews being in them which made us have to wait a couple of times before we could shoot ours, his went pretty well and I'm looking foreword to seeing his. Ike on the other hand had an idea which he kept changing before we even started shooting. He had a great spot where we kinda could not shoot. And then we could but he couldn't use guns. But he had guns. He got unlucky when one of the actresses felt sick and went home and he decided to act in his own. After practicing and changing up the story for 3 hours we finally started shooting with only 45 minutes left. The actress that stayed wasn't that good though. She didn't know how to play angry,… Weird right? So I tried to get it out of her so we wouldn't get any shots with her pulling out a gun with a stupid grin on her face. And i think I did succeeded :D Also the place we were shooting had the Universal Tours driving by every 5 minutes. But it in the end I think it all worked out. :D
Writing #3 (Sharri Hefner)
I don't know what to say about this class. Sharri is really nice but I just don't like the way she teaches. Besides it was a long exhausting day and we would finish her class at 22:30. So my brain was already on standby when we started. Haven't had a decent meal either today so I was pretty hungry too. I know i wrote a lot down but I just can't remember what it was about. And i haven't got my notebook with me, so i can't look it up. Time crawled by like a legless cat,…
