New York Film Academy 8th day
Shoot Mise-en Scene shoot day #2
Today we shot Ike's and Thomase's Mise-en Scene. Ike was up first. Jennifer (one of the 4 week NYFA acting for film actresses) was the actress in his shoot but he needed one more actor/actress. He first wanted Thomas to be in the shoot as an actor. But when I was asking about how it would play out and did a walk through he decided I would be the actress in the shoot next to the wonderful Jennifer. Jennifer was by far the best actress at the open casting we had on the 5th day of the program.
It was fun to do and I think everything worked out pretty well. Besides me being in it :D I can't wait to see how it turned out, because I didn't get to see a lot of Jennifer's performance. But I know she rocked it.
2nd shoot and the curse called Daniëlle
During lunch in between shoots I had a great talk with Jennifer who I really want for my next project. She is a denim addict just like me. Jennifer is from Vancouver originally but after living in Beijing for two years she now lives in St. Petersburg Florida. Alex (only male actor in the same class as Jennifer and Diva girl) arrived and Thomas stated practicing and setting up the cam and scene. Ike, Chris and me would set up the lights. When I was setting up the light in the kitchen somehow a cupboard opened all by itself and it hit the light I just worked on. The light tipped over and fell. And it broke. I felt SOOOOO bad because Thomas was short on time because Alex had another shoot and we were limited on time because of that.
So now we were short one light and were figuring out how to work it out. There was another light in our light kit. But it was really weak. It also didn't fit on our light stands. So I put it on the kitchen counter and taped it secure so it wouldn't fall like the previous light. Thomas wasn't perfectly happy with it's placing. Although it got rid of all the hard shadows it was a little too bright on the cupboards according to Thomas. So I placed it a little lower and that was working out pretty well. And what do you know,… That light blew out as well. So if I wasn't feeling terrible already about the other light this light messed with me as well. So we tries our best to work the lights that were in the kitchen already. They were not as bright as the ones i the light kit but I think we made it work.
Back home
When I got back home I discovered I lost my program. I'm a little freaked out because I don't know how late class will start tomorrow morning. So I'll just get up at 7:00 so I'll be ready to get going whenever,…
