New York Film Academy 14th day
Shoot Continuity Film
I got up nice and early today although I haven't heard when and where we would be shooting the first shoot today. After not getting a hold of my crew mates I finally got a hold of one of them. And apparently they decided to shoot 3 shoots on monday but forgot to inform me. So looking at the positive side of that news I could do some other stuff that morning although sleeping in would have been a nice change of pace.
In the afternoon we got to the parents house of Nataly. We were ready to shoot but had to wait on the NYFA actresses to arrive. I was pretty nervous because I had a lot of shots to shoot. Maybe I made it a little too complicated. Also because I already ignored one of the most famous rules in filmmaking. Never work with Kids and Animals. As it turned out the kid played by Olivia Guerrero was really good and a real little trouper!
Since I shot outside and in the afternoon and it was getting dark early I got even more nervous when my NYFA actresses were half an hour and an hour late. So it ended up with me rushing through the scenes and making some alterations. And some pretty important photos I wanted to make (to edit into the film) weren't made because all the light was gone. And now I can't shoot them on the location so the vision for the photos I initially had have to be altered too. Which sucks but I'll just have to make it work.
After wrapping up I was still pretty high strung. Sal and Nat brought me home so the guys in my crew could get ready for tomorrow. I was still under the impression they didn't really have any idea what they were going to do yet but I might be wrong.
