Since our return to Adelaide we've watched a lot of cricket, read books, been to the movies (well I have anyway with my nieces) and David has played golf.
David celebrated his 41st birthday here on the 7th. It was pretty quiet. His father, Tony celebrated his 70th birthday on the 12th. We had drinks for him by the pool at the unit the Martin's own in Wirrina, a golfing resort that has never taken off. It was a good afternoon. Tony really enjoyed himself.
David and his brother Paul went into town on Sunday night to watch the criterium race, the pre cursor to the Tour Down Under. Robbie McEwen won. I stayed with Paul's' wife Angela drinking champagne. Suffered a bit the next day.
We went for a drive Wednesday along the southern coast of Adelaide. Such a lovely area - Maslins Beach, Aldinga, Sellicks Beach. We stopped for lunch at the Victory Hotel on Sellicks Hill. This had a good view along the coast.
Before leaving Adelaide today we went and watched the Tour Down Under at a couple of locations. The first stop we couldn't even tell who anyone was as they were flying down a hill. The second stop we stood on a corner and were able to identify a few cyclists as they rode past, including Lance Armstrong.
