Heading from the Warrow North camp area to Port Lincoln we did a drive through, in the rain, of Coffin Bay. In Port Lincoln we just went for a drive trying to work out what we'd do for that day and the few following. We thought we'd head to Tumby Bay and go from there.
Still raining quite heavily we stopped for lunch at the bakery in Tumby Bay. David said he was happy to keep driving so we continued on to Cowell. Whilst in Cowell, we rang David's parents who were currently away and going to be back in Adelaide on Sunday 14th December. We had thought we'd get into Adelaide on Monday 15th or Tuesday 16th but with the rain so bad, David's Mum Andrea said why didn't we just drive straight through that day (Friday 12th). So that's what we did.
We had a drive through Whyalla and Port Augusta, where we filled up with petrol, and continued on stopping for dinner at about 8pm at a roadhouse in Port Wakefield. We arrived at David's brother Gary's at about 10pm, where we picked up the keys to David's parents house.
Since being in Adelaide we've caught up with David's family, done some Christmas shopping (mind you doesn't really feel like Christmas!), watched cricket and David has serviced his motorbike.
Today we fly to Perth where we'll then drive down to Dunsborough in the Margaret River region and spend the next two weeks with my sister, Kris, and her husband, Shane.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all our readers.
