Jac & I had a night out at the puppet theater last night. It was a weird ass experience but was definitely worth seeing. We have arrived back in Hanoi after our overnight train trip from Sapa. The cabins are 4 berth with 2 bunks either side and very compact. We took the option of the trip up to Sapa of upgrading to a VIP cabin so it was just the 2 of us. The trip back though there were no VIP cabins and we knew we would be sharing with other people. We have spent the day wandering around Hanoi after a few hours sleep back at the Win hotel. This is a picture of our tour guide Lao. She is 16 and as you can see she is tiny although she is one of the tallest girls in her village. We were taken on a hike today to 3 villages. We stopped at her village of Lao Chai after kilometers of trekking through the jungle to a beautiful lunch and a taste of village life. After taking everyones advice that the weather would be warm in Sapa we only packed shorts and shirts. Since being here we have been cold and wet. We wandered town tonight for dinner and found that there were plenty of North Face shops. We got kitted out in jackets, shoes, pants and jumpers for $100 US. That is insane.
