We have arrived back in Hanoi after our overnight train trip from Sapa. The cabins are 4 berth with 2 bunks either side and very compact. We took the option of the trip up to Sapa of upgrading to a VIP cabin so it was just the 2 of us. The trip back though there were no VIP cabins and we knew we would be sharing with other people. Thankfully we were bunked in with a lovely young American couple, Ryan & Melissa. We cracked open a bottle of Jim Beam and chatted through the night about our different travel experiences and our lives back home. It definitely made for a great trip and as much as we love spending time with each other it was great having a good chat and laugh with new people. Thanks for an awesome trip guys!
We arrived back at 4.30am and as there was nothing open we wandered back to our district and filled in the few hours until our hotel opened. We couldn't even lie in a park or sit at a cafe until about 6.30 so has been a bit of a long morning.
