After taking everyones advice that the weather would be warm in Sapa we only packed shorts and shirts. Since being here we have been cold and wet. We wandered town tonight for dinner and found that there were plenty of North Face shops. We got kitted out in jackets, shoes, pants and jumpers for $100 US. That is insane. Back home we would of paid close to $1000. At least we'll be fine on our 4 hour trek tomorrow. Walking today in sandals was not a fun experience and I took a tumble at the hotel on the stairs. Nothing broken but plenty of skin off and bumps and bruises. At least in our new shoes we will be sure footed.
We had the best spring rolls we have ever had for dinner. The town was beautiful at night and the old lady playing the flute in the street just added to the atmosphere. It was nice not being followed by those pesky kids too. Although we know they will be there waiting for us when we step out tomorrow. As cute as they are I think I may just have to tell them how it is.
