We grabbed a couple of bureks for breaky on our way out of Dubrovnik. We are in a little Chevrolet Spark with a 1 litre engine so the going is a little slow. We steered clear of the freeways though & just followed the coast north. It was a beautiful drive as we enjoyed being out of public transport & back in a car, if the Spark is qualified as a car, maybe it's just a covered over moped. It was a nice 300 odd k's to drive & with the sun shining made it a nice relaxing day. We arrived at the town of Betina which we had chosen just as a stop off point to our destination tomorrow. Confirming that you can't judge a book by it's covered we were a little disappointed when we turned up at our hostel, but on heading inside we were pleasantly surprised with the place. It made it even better when we were conversing with the elderly owner. We couldn't understand her & she couldn't understand us but somehow we managed to have a conversation, culminating in high fives all round. We put on a load of washing then relaxed & waited an eternity for it to finish. Upon hanging it up we drove to the supermarket & grabbed some food to cook dinner, which ended up happening about 10pm after others had occupied the kitchen. So now we have clean clothes, are well rested & super excited about the next couple of days seeing some of Croatia's amazing landscapes. Stay tuned.
