This was our last stop along the East Coast of Australia and the weather was typical for the wet season. The tropics have not disppointed with the rain lol although they seem to be short on raincoats as we found out while walking round the city centre. Cairns itself is considered quite good for shopping but the main activity that people do is their diving courses off the Great Barrier Reef. We stayed in a hostel called Nomads Beach house which was alittle out of the city while we got our imfamous vaccinations done..OUCH! Not really but it was abit of a pain as we need even more done for Thailand while we're in Brisbane and then back home in the UK. We then checked into Gilligans which was a massive hostel and very popular with backpackers as it was fairly priced. We joined up with our friends that we had been travelling with for some time for one last blow out with them and Australia in general. This was the end of our OZ Experience trip so it was a great night out in Cairns centre but sad as we were getting two flights the next day to continue with our travels........We'll try and keep you updated with the goings on in New Zealand but as we are travelling very quickly we might not get round to putting any pictures up. Something to look forward to in May! WHOOP!
