Monday was spent entirely on the road and we covered over 500 miles during the day, trying to get as close to Orlando as possible. We made Talahassee, which is actually the capital of Florida quite late in the afternoon and found a nice motel. It was a tiring day but the driving was made easy by the excellence of the US highways. 
                                                   
They are wide, pretty straight and have a 70mph speed limit which no one adheres to! We were constantly passed by large trucks and most cars when we sat on 70, so we put the foot down a bit and kept up with the rest.
Couldn't see a great deal from the highway as there are trees right along the edge, but we saw a few ranches and even a dairy farm!
