Grottagllie is known for its Ceramics. The history dates back to the middle ages. One of the iconic pieces is the Egg, it is a sign of welcoming / hospitality. You can see them throughout the town on the corners of the balconys. They come in many different sizes, styles, shapes and colors.

One of our italian employees took some of us on a hike to the Caves of Grottaglie. He was very knowledgable about the history. His wife's grand mother lived in the caves during WWII when the Germans were bombing the airfield near Grottaglie. The name Grottaglie means "many ravines". Opera Pizza, the best food so far. Pizza, steak, apps, wine. all the best so Far. Mark, Janson and I went out after a long hard day, Opera has a great mondern atmostphere, in a residental setting. Best dinning experience bar none.

Thanksgiving was a success. Dinner for about 120 people. Employees and family. The app was italian, Prosciutto and cheese. The turkey, gravy, mashed potatos were excellent as was the apple pie. I was told they nailed the pumpkin pie, but i am an apple pie man. A typical italian dinner, a long time between courses, in fact some left before deserrt. I was thinking a dessert.
