We decided to cross off another place off the one day list and go out to Hurdle Gully lookout just off the highway (11km) between Monto & Biloela. Such a calm peacefull view. Looking out over towards Monto & Mulgulidie to the east. The three Moon Creek runs through the valley. No camping allowed here but there is a free camp about 600m ofthe highway on the way in.

Pat and I toured the Auburn National Park today and boy did it show just how unfit I am from sitting behind a desk all day and not going for the daily walk I used to do before leaving Miriam Vale. Pat and I have been driving past Mt Walsh National Park for years saying we would go and see what is there. Today we finally did....... It is a really great place. We went down to see Waterfall Creek, a steep climb but worth it to see the series of rockpools & waterfalls. It rained last week so there was a fair flow of water crossing the rocks. Moved the van up to Cania Gorge and staying there so that I don't need to drive the 73km each way everyday now that winter is coming, Pat stays in Eidsvold and I come back each weekend. Cania Gorge has no phones and no computer internet access -- peaceful
