Pat & I both finished our jobs at Eidsvold and travelled a great distance the first night after leaving there (all of a whopping 10km) and camped at Ceratodus free camp beside the Burnett River. I had to go back and pick Pat up after a few drinks with the boys before he left so I couldn't go too far.
Boy it gets cold there, woke to ice on the cars in the morning, just as well we have extra blankets with us.
We are now staying at Benaraby and will catch up with friends and family before Pat has to start his new position in Darwin at the end of July as the Capital Works Co-Ordinator for the Darwin City Council.
After working out in what a lot of people consider the bush for the past 12 months or so he will now be in an air-conditioned office in the middle of a capital city (okay it's a small one-but it's still a capital city). You have gotta luv my guy.... he doesn't mind extremes whether it is wine, women or song and jobs of course.
