Our roadside camp had been noisy with passing traffic all night so we were up quite early and on the road to Tweeds Heads. We got stuck in peak hour traffic (certainly haven't missed that) for over an hour due to an accident. Eventually arrived and had a wander around the lake and looked at the James Cook Memorial Lighthouse. The views were beautiful and we could see the Gold Coast in the distance. Didn't quite make it to Cobar, the animals were starting to come out to the road as the sun went down. Had to dodge a couple of roos and a goat and lots of road kill. Spent the night at a roadside stop and woke up to a beautiful crispy frost Wendy

Not much to write about Silverton, one donkey town in the middle of nowhere, didn't take a picture of the donkey. Highlight nice pub. Too early for a beer. Today heading off towards Cobar.
