So we arrived back in Bangkok to have our final dinner with the group...
The next day we said goodbye to nearly everyone?! some of them we were really upset to leave and some to be honest glad to! but such as life! teehee
Booked our overnight bus and boat to Koh Phi Phi (our 2nd Thai island) and off we went. Made a couple of new buddies on our journey..one a guy named Matt who was a dive instructor and had been working around Thailand for 5 yrs or so. The other was a girl from Manchester called Sophie who was backpacking just like us! Finally arrived in Phi Phi and found our way (thanks to sophie's mates) to the cheapest fan room ever! yes for both of us it was 4 pounds a night! Which means you cannot moan about the severity of the hear due to no a/c, the fact that the bed is actually just a bit of wood and that all you hear through the night is thai people arguing! FANTASTIC!
As it happens we have really really enjoyed our time here in Phi Phi (despite the room) and have met a lovely group of people.. oh and forgot to say that Lisa spotted another friend of ours called Sophie along the beach the first day. We first met Soph at surf-camp which feels like an age away now... then bumped into her again in Fraser island, Airlie beach and Cairns so it was fab to have dinner with her and her buddies in Phi Phi.
So the rest of our time here was spent relaxing as we hadnt realised how drained we were from our month trip..we found a gorgeous hotel pool on the seafront one day and decided to risk it and have a sneaky swim! This felt amazing as the sea water is boiling hot!
We have to admit that there were a fair few buckets of good old sangsom consumed and a terrible hangover one morning which nearly.. we say.. nearly put us off buckets forever!
So that brings us to today.. we spent a day at a pool which you actually pay to go to (good karma) and took the short stroll (yeah right- lying german woman!) 370 huge steps in the heat to see the viewpoint ... yes it was gorgeous but we looked sweaty and crap by the time we reached it! teehee
Tomorrow we leave at 9am on an allday journey to Koh Phangan for the build up of a half-moon party!
10 more sleeps until we arrive in Heathrow! we are starting to get used to the idea now...
