Its our last full day. We've got 28 hours and I'm ready to cry already. In 48 hours I'll be home. Back to normal, miles away from here and all the lovely things that go with it. Sunshine, socialising and swimming!
Last night we went to Catherines Vineyard curry house. Its on the edge of a massive pond with a fountain. It was pitch black when we arrived but I've seen pictures of it. Its beautiful. As is the case with a lot of places it was BYO. I had a bottle of red, Billy had white, fella had some beers and Nick graciously decided he would be on driving duty. The service was good, as was the food but its all completely different to English curry. I had tikka masala which was quite spicy and the rice was bright orange! Most unusual. I washed it all down with copious amounts of Australias finest red wine, which I'm sure made it all the more tasty.
Back off to Hilarys today and then our for the 'last supper' tonight.
Its now 10.40 and we're back home after the last supper. I've climbed into bed for the last time here. On one hand it feels like I've been here a lifetime and then on the other hand, I can hardly believe its time to go already. We went to Hilarys again today. The first time we went was right at the start of the trip and I can hardly rememeber it. We were up an out so that we could have our Breakfast there. It was all far less busy. We wandered arounf the shops, snatching up last minute presents. I wondered if we walked slow enough, it might delay the inevitable. All that feeling sad had me ready for a little pit stop. San Churros. Again.
We went to the Rose and Crown in Guildford for dinner. Very posh! All leather chairs and open fires. The food was amazing and despite the lump that is lodged in my throat, I really enjoyed it. We stopped at Rob and Fi's on the way home to give them their present and say goodbye. I hate goodbyes.
