After a good nights sleep alls well in my world. Billy had an appointment at the chiropractor first thing so we left the boys behind making bacon sarnies and headed off. While Bill was being pulled around I headed off for a stroll. It was hot, sunny and almost deserted. It was nice to get my bearings and take in my surroundings. It was all so surreal. We came back and collected the boys and headed off to the chocolate factory. Coffees for us, hot chocolate for Billy and scones for a breakfast treat. We sat outside and all slowly melted. Back inside the beautiful chocolate shop me and Bill scrutinised everything they had to offer whilst making the most of the air con. The boys, totally unimpressed by such copious amounts of chocolate, completely lost interest and waited outside. From there we went next door to the wine shop. Several free samples later and we settled on a mint liquere for Bill and a bottle of red wine for me. We came out of the shop proudly clutching our purchases to find the boys huddled round Richards truck, peering under the bonnet. Not doing anything, just peering. Why? What is there to see? I think after all that wine and chocolate they just needed to exert their masculinity!
Nick decided a BBQ was in order for dinner so Billy invited Fi and Rob and Kirsty and her family. We sent the boys off to the shops for provisions and we relaxed by the pool. The BBQ was realxed and casual and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Rich was in charge of the barbie and he did an excellent job. I even tried Kangaroo! It was really good to meet everyone and the conversation flowed easily, as did the very tasy white white that Billy bought. It slipped down a treat. It was one of the nicest evening. It was Nicks turn to fall victim to the jet lag though and he spent most of the evening looking like a zombie. All this travelling really takes its toll. I was completely unprepared for how bad we'd feel.
