Another exciting part of Dunedin was getting to visit a real chocolate factory - Cadbury, although unluckily it was a holiday and the productions lines were closed. However we did get to sample Lots of chocolate including NZ specialities like Jaffas and see a real chocolate fountain. Then traveling north up the coast we stopped at a beach to see the really cool boulders shown in the picture and camp at Omaru. Our very first rainy afternoon gave the girls a chance to start their homework and update their journals. We took the chance to have our special meal out together (thanks Karen) and our main activity wasn't affected by the rain. At dusk we any to the penguin centre to see about 200 little blue penguins ( the worlds smallest), come ashore, scramble out of the waves and jump up the rocks, huddle in a jostling group before making a run for their burrows. This was repeated about 5 times and was a great memory.
