Another nice lie in! We hired the same motor bike and made our way back down to Will and Monica's again. The sun wasn't too hot so we all decided to walk up the fairy spring.
The fairy spring is a river that you literally walk up. The water is only about 2 inch deep and the bottom is sand so it's really easy and quite refreshing. 2 young Vietnamese lads invited themselves to be our guides for the day, of course for a little cheeky fee that they would later expect, we didn't need the guides - it's just one river you'd struggle to get lost - but that's easier said than done when the guides have very selective English. We walked all the way up to a water fall and then more guides started approaching us to take us further but we decided we'd had enough and set off to walk down river. The river took us right out to the beach but just before we got to the sea the bottom of the river changed texture quite dramatically on our feet - it went all slimy and strange. It was probably just mud, but earlier on Will and Mon had mentioned how they had seen locals bums on the beach the previous night doing their business before the tide came in to wash it away. This we imagined would have a similar texture to what we felt below us so all 4 of us screamed like little girls and managed to scramble to the side before finding any hard evidence of our fears!
In the afternoon we sunbathed on the private beach again, we also bought a mosquito weapon! It's like a tennis racket that electrocutes the evil b*****s, this is a lot of fun! Bring em on!
