Sunshine at last so off we went to venture round Quy Nhon. Gorgeous beatuiful beach resort, but no lazing the days on the beach as it's used mainly by fishermen and their boats line the whole of the bay.
We had a wander up and down the streets with not one westerner in sight and all we had were kids running up to us shouting 'hello, where you from, what's your name?!' True Asia.
We then lazed the afternoon drinking lassi's before going out for tea.
When on our way back from the restaurant, we were stopped by an old vietnamese man who owned a book shop. On going inside he asked us to take a letter to the US Government - obviously we couldn't, but on reading , we found out he was a soldier in the war and saved 2 American soldiers from moments away from being killed. He was writing to the US stating what he had done and was asking them if he could become a legal refugee there as all of his family now lived over in the country.
He showed us many letters that he had sent already with replies from America, just basically saying 'not a chance'. He was such a nice and friendly man and quite sad how they wont let him live in their country.
Before we left he gave us a booklet in Vietnamese which we have now found out is a biography of his life.
We then chilled out on a high rise rooftop terrace drinking cocktails next to the sea.
