We started today quite late as most were tired from the days before. Then we discovered the joys of the Disney bus service. First bus to arrive to take us to Epcot, the lift for the wheelchair didn’t work. No problem, another bus will be here soon. By soon, he meant that another bus would be coming in 30 minutes. At least this one had a working lift and we managed to get Sue on board.
Epcot has changed, in fact, Disney has changed. It is now crowded, no, packed. The number of people walking around was intense. In addition, it appears that a number of adults attempt to cruise through World Showcase by having a drink at every location, and Disney caters for this with virtually every outlet serving alcohol.
We didn’t really have a plan for Epcot, and just started walking aimlessly through World Showcase. Mexico, Norway, China, Italy, USA, all went by in a bit of a dream. It was only when we sat down with something to eat in Japan did we decide how to spend the rest of the day.
We finished off World Showcase, and went to the ‘Soaring’ ride; like taking a hand glider around certain parts of the world. Awesome viewing, but slightly spoiled by the CGI of animals thrown in. We left this and joined Sue for ‘The World’ ride, a look at modern farming and some of the ways that Disney is trying to improve farming into the future.
We also managed to get onto the ride, ‘Mission Earth’, when you are simulating leaving Earth to Mars in a rocket. Fairly awesome.
We went over to Disney Springs for dinner again, and had some extremely good Mexican.
