Cindy Aserkoff's Travels
Today was a travel day to Vietnam. Upon arrival we were given a short bus tour of the city with stops at Vietnam's Notre dame and the original post office designed by Eiffel. Dinner was at the hotel. After dinner Robert , Patrick (a fellow traveler in his 70's) went on a adventure to find ice cream. We followed the instruction to continue to walk across the street with no traffic lights and 4 lanes of cars and motorbikes, slowly, without stopping. Our major victory was crossing a 4 way intersection without getting killed. The ice cream we found was baskin Robbins. Not very enamored with this city. Forgot to mention the lacquer factory. The art produced here was really spectacular. We bought 2 pieces and might have bought more it we could get it home.
