Went out last night for the audition which turned out to be an incredibly expensive bar downtown. Keren and I were probably the youngest there by at least 10 years and if it weren't for Aaron probably 15 (they thought we were 22 - we did actually get away with it!). Still, it ended up being quite a good night and after a few beers Aaron loosened up, got up and started presenting the karaoke and did a couple of numbers (I did 'Why does it always rain on me?')...

Went out last night with our room-mate. Keren wasn't feeling well so she stayed in, but we went to a really cool punk bar down the road. A couple of beers later, a group of Art students about 21/2 years old came in for some drinks and we moved over to them. One of the girls was immensely fit and Aaron moved in straight away, but no matter how much of the accent card we played she was having none of it. Must be a lesbian we figured... :-/ Beers are pretty goo...

Right. We're here. Staying in the 'Jazz on the Park' hostel which is in a s*** area of Manhatten on the North West side of Central Park. We did 5th Avenue and Madison Avenue today which were big, long and busy, but also pretty unexciting. Still, yay! New York! We met Mario and Wario who sell bagels and pizza respectively.
