hey guys, sorry about falling a little behind on the postcards, i'm just having such a good time that i can't seem to find time to sit on the computer for ages and write them out. kho tao was amazing! i went to kho tao just to do some diving and didn't really expect to do much else or enjoy myself anywhere near as much as i did. i spent a week on kho tao, sharing a room with 2 of the irish fellas that i met on kho pha ngan, mark and steve. that was one of the hottest aqnd foustiest rooms i've ever had the pleasure of staying in! and that's saying something!! i had a great time with the irish group. going out drinking till the wee hours of the morning most nights and then waking up and having to dive to some stupid depths very hungover! not the best way to dive but it's a great hangover cure seeing a shark swim about 3 meters from your face! 5 of us did the open water course, dee, allison, brian, danny and me, a great laugh once you've got the hang of breathing under water. it took us 3 days to pass the open water which consisted of 5 dives and 1 exam, easy! after passing that 3 of us decided to do the advance, dee, brian and me. i'm so glad i did this because it now means i can dive to 30 meters and on kho tao that means you get alot closer to the black tip sharks. now i've done a few dives and feel comfortable diving i'm hooked. as i said before i had a fantastic time on kho tao and i really hope to meet up with the fellas again on my way round, if your reading this fellas thanks for a great time and i'll be sure to get in touch when i get to oz. next stop the perhentian islands in malaysia with a cool english chick called sarah. wish me luck. cheers all, speak to you soon. christopher.
