hello again everyone, oh my god did i feel like crap on that bus ride here! time to take it easy on the island of kho chang. on the bus and boat over here i met some cool people, 4 german people and 2 girls from bristol. the german's stayed at another beach so the ride to the island was the last i saw of them but the bristol girls, em and ro, stayed in the same place as me so we spent quite a bit of time together. we didn't arrive untill about 5pm at the beach we were staying so we just got a bungalow on the beach and then went out for food and a quiet drink. one of the first things i was told when i got here was that everwhere closes at 11pm so there's no chance of a late drink... i didn't get to bed till about 4 or 5 in the morning. the girls and me had some food at our place and then we saw a fire show happeneing up the beach so we went to check it out. turns out that it was one of the staff's birthday so we all got smashed and danced to cheesey music till the wee hours of the morning. we also met some more amazing people that night who we spent alot of time with over the next few days (tom, isla, rosie and tom if your reading this thanks for a great time and hope to see you again some time). the next day i just led on the beach doing nothing and going for a swim every so often. a quiet night for all was in order, so we just chilled out and with a few drinks and chatted. day 3 and i was on the motorbike. i woke upto some crap weather, it pissed it down till about 12 and then i got the bike. it didn't take long before the sun was out again and for me to get some stupid looking suntan lines from wearing a vest top. the other side of the island was really nice, completely different but still really nice. on the other side of the island there wasn't many beaches atall but there was quite a few little villages to look around which was really nice. that night was a full moon so we hit the drink hard. too much beer, too much rum and coke and far too many whisky buckets spelt curtains for all of us. tom, isla and me met a a couple and we went to there bungalow and drank on till about 6 in the morning. i was not feeling all that great in the morning, well afternoon cause i didn't wake up till 1:30. didn't get up to much through the day due to crap weather again and also feeling rather rough. that night we sat on the beach and watched the football, chelsea v arsenal, on the big screen. this was also em's, ro's, tom's and isla's last night on kho chang. no doubt i'll be seeing em and ro again down the line cause there doing pretty much the same route as me but for tom and isla it was the last night of their trip so have a safe trip home guys and maybe we'll meet again back home or more likely back on the road. not much happened the following morning but in the afternoon me and the couple who's bungalow we went to on the full moon went fishing off a pier on the other side of the island till about 10pm. i didn't catch a thing but gavin did, god knows what it was but i think it was a fish, all i know it was bloody ugly. this morning i woke up and thought about getting the bus back to bangkok but when i looked outside the weather had changed for the better, beautiful sunshine, so bangkok has been delayed a day. all morning i was on the beach or in the sea and then when it got a bit to hot just lie in it i jumped back on the motorbike and went to a really nice little fishing village, a nice little ride, some more beautiful beaches aswell. turns out this bar might be having a little party for me because it's my last night on the island so i could be worse for ware in the morning for my bus ride to bangkok. magic!! speak to you all soon. christopher.
