hello everyone, sorry about not updating this thing sooner, no excuse, just being lazy! the reason people come to kho pha ngan is the full moon parties on the beach. they are a great laugh but there is so much more there. the whole island is beautiful. its a great place to just hop on a bike and check out the island for yourself. i stayed in 3 places on kho pha ngan, hadd yao, hat rin and bottle beach. hadd yao was really quiet, a bit to quiet, but the beach was beautiful and i met some really cool people there, a load of irish fellas, brian, danny, steve and mark. not much happened in hadd yao but then we all went of to hat rin for the full moon party. crazy party. i was a little to drunk before the whole thing got under way so i cant remember a great deal between the hours of 11pm to 5am, all i know is that at some point during the night i fell asleep on the beach and i woke up and found i had been painted on. a stupidly big red line through the middle of my head, a lightning bolt on my arm, stripes down my face and a star on my leg. i know not to fall asleep during another full moon party. after the hecticness of hat rin and the full moon party i went to chill out on bottle beach for a couple of days with a friend i met up with at the full moon, amy. bottle beach was stunning and really chilled out. there was not many people there but there was enough for a bit of atmosphere and we met up with the irish fellas again as soon as we got there. not much to report from bottle beach other than a couple of late nights drinking and lazy days on the beach, just really relaxed, just what i needed after the full moon. i really didnt want to leave kho pha ngan atall, i was having a really great time there and the place is stunning, nevermind it gives me a reason to back again sometime soon. next stop kho tao for a bit of diving. cheers all, speak to you soon. christopher.
